Since 1970, the largest fundraising event in European sport, the "Ball des Sports", has taken place in Germany. This year our company was there again with the laser target PLT2.
Besides the culinary highlights and a lot of good music, the guests of the event could test their skill and dexterity at different stations. This year they had the opportunity to throw soft handballs onto an oversized dartboard, compete on a Scalextric track or - for the more athletic guests - try a few gymnastics exercises on specially installed rings. The Hessian Shooting Federation stand was also very popular: In addition to the bow and crossbow, two Schneider PLT2 targets operated with Meyton software were also available for visitors. They were able to test their accuracy with an air pistol or air rifle.
Well-known athletes such as Aljona Savchenko (figure skating) and prominent guests such as Nelson Müller, who put together the menu for the guests, competed for a chance to reach the final. At 2am the winner for each of the four disciplines was decided. Despite the late hour, many shooters came back to the stand and gave everything to become "shooter of the evening". All in all, it was a very successful event that inspired all participants. Schneider Messtechnik looks forward to being there again next year for the 50th “Ball des Sports”.
